McDermott Subsidiary Gets $200 Mln EPCI Contract In Arabian Gulf

(RTTNews) - McDermott International, Inc. (MDR), Wednesday said one of its unit was granted an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation or EPCI contract in the Arabian Gulf, which is worth about $200 million. The company said this will be included in its s fourth quarter 2013 backlog.

The contract comprises of fabrication, transportation and installation of offshore facilities, including two production deck modules and ten observation platforms. The scope also includes works for two subsea pipeline installations, three submarine power cables and two fiber optic cables, the company added.

Using vessels from its global fleet, installations are expected to mobilize in the end of the second quarter 2014; while the project completion, including hookup and commissioning, may happen in the first quarter of 2015.
