MTC and Client The JBG Companies Named Finalists for the NAHB Pillars of the Industry Awards

BELTSVILLE, Md., July 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Merrick Towle Communications (MTC), an integrated marketing communications firm in the D.C. metro area, was named a finalist for Best Overall Leasing Campaign for a Rental Apartment Community, the top marketing category of the National Association of Home Builders' (NAHB) annual Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards for the year 2013.  The award identifies the best real estate marketing in the country. The campaign was developed by MTC  for The JBG Companies' Kennedy Row Apartments on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

"We are quite pleased to be named finalists in this category for the second year in a row," said MTC Executive Vice President, Amy Weedon.  "We work hard to create innovative campaigns and are extremely excited that they drive positive results for our clients."

MTC won the same award last year for NRP Group's Cevallos Lofts in San Antonio, Texas. Winners will be honored in a virtual ceremony on October 3, 2013, at 2p.m. ET.

"It is our esteemed honor to enjoy a history of being recognized by the NAHB for our work," Weedon concluded. If Merrick Towle Communications wins, this will mark the eighth award in this top marketing category in the agency's history and the 19th Pillars Award in the agency's 27 years of operation. "We hope that on October 3rd, our client and our agency are both winners," Weedon concluded.

Merrick Towle Communications is an integrated marketing communications firm that specializes in real estate and energy campaigns.
