National Fuel Gas Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - National Fuel Gas Co. (NFG) Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $58.5 million or $0.69 per share, up from $43.2 million or $0.52 per share in the same period last year.

On average, nine analysts expected the company to earn $0.65 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased to $440.01 million from $328.86 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $411.51 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal 2013, the company has narrowed its earnings outlook to a range of $3.00 to $3.10 per share from its previous guidance range of $2.95 to $3.10 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $3.07 per share.

For the fiscal 2014, the company has forecast earnings guidance in the range of $3.05 to $3.30 per share. Analysts currently expect earnings of $3.16 per share for 2014.
