In addition to the obvious cosmetic changes that the model has undergone, Jeep actually also added a completely new version to the lineup this year. The Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel is making its debut in 2014, and has already received a lot of critical acclaim. The EcoDiesel Grand Cherokee is fitted with a 3.0-liter diesel engine that has output of an impressive 420 lb-ft of torque while also offering up 240 horsepower. The clean diesel engine also gets up to 30 MPG highway fuel economy.
The clean diesel trim was a big addition, but another significant change is the transmission offered on the SUV. The traditional five-speed transmission was replaced for the 2014 model year with the new eight-speed automatic transmission. The smooth progression through the gears offered by this transmission allows the SUV to be very efficient as well.
The combination of new offerings for the 2014 model year makes the new Jeep Grand Cherokee a great choice for many consumers. Palmen Motors has the vehicle in stock now and is offering it for sale.
