News Conference Regarding Delta Airlines Sex Assault Lawsuit Filed By Goodman Acker P.C. Tuesday June 13th At 11:00am

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --Goodman Acker P.C. filed a lawsuit against Delta Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines, Inc., on behalf of Rhonda Costigan, a Garden City woman. Costigan was sexually assaulted by a man while in flight from Myrtle Beach to Detroit on July 27, 2016. Ms. Costigan will speak to the media along with attorney Gerald Acker at the offices of Goodman Acker P.C., located at 17000 West Ten Mile Road, Second Floor, Southfield, MI.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the man was seen masturbating by a Flight Attendant 40 minutes into the two-hour flight.  Instead of establishing a protocol to monitor the individual and restrict his movements, the Flight Attendants allowed him to move freely through the cabin, sitting down next to Ms. Costigan. The man proceeded to sexually assault Ms. Costigan, a hard working waitress and mother, placing his hands underneath her shorts.  Ms. Costigan was unable to move, as the larger gentlemen blocked her exit. The man, a South Carolina resident, named Christopher Finkley, was convicted for simple assault and indecent exposure by a Federal Magistrate in Detroit and sentenced at the end of March. Delta has offered $2500 in airline vouchers as compensation for Ms. Costigan's suffering.
