NiSource Q4 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - NiSource Inc. (NI) reported fourth-quarter income from continuing operations of $154.3 million, compared to $153.0 million in the comparable quarter last year. Basis earnings per share for the latest quarter were $0.49, same as last year.

Net operating earnings from continuing operations rose to $160.7 million, or $0.51 per share, from $148.7 million or $0.47 per share in the prior year period. On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.52 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Gross revenues were $1.69 billion, up from $1.59 billion, a year ago, while three analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $1.65 billion for the quarter.
