No Stomach For Cancer awards $100,000 in Grants for Improved Stomach Cancer Detection and Treatment
MADISON, Wis., July 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- No Stomach For Cancer is pleased to announce the winners of the 2017 Grant for Gastric Cancer Innovation, Education, and Opportunity totaling $100,000. As part of the organization's global mission, it will fund significant research projects in the areas of immunotherapy, and blood biomarkers to predict early recurrence of stomach cancer.
The studies will be performed at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Australia and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Located within the larger Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) in Melbourne, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is one of Australia's leading research centers for cancer and oncology.
