Northwest Natural Gas Q4 Earnings Increases

(RTTNews) - Northwest Natural Gas Co. (NWN) Friday announced an increase in fourth quarter net income to $29.71 million from $28.47 million last year. On a per share basis, earnings were $1.08, up from $1.04 last year.

On average 3 analyst polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.03 per share. Analysts estimates usually exclude special items.

Revenue for the fourth quarter declined 4 percent to $230.72 million from $240.28 million in the previous year. Wall Street was looking for $248.89 million.

Looking ahead, the company expects adjusted earnings for 2016 in a range of $1.98 to $2.18 per share. Street expects $2.32 per share on revenue of $759.40 million.
