NTT Communications Buys 86.7% Stake In E-shelter - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - NTT Communications Corp., the ICT solutions and international communications business within NTT (NTT), e-shelter, a leading European operator of data center services, and ABRY Partners, a private equity investment firm, jointly announced that NTT Com acquired a 86.7% stake in e-shelter yesterday.

The company noted that the acquisition elevates the NTT Com's data center space in Europe to 92,000 square meters in nine cities, up from 19,500 square meters in four cities.

As the designer, builder and operator of high-availability data centers, e-shelter offers infrastructure based on the highest standards of physical security and operational reliability. The company, led by CEO Rupprecht Rittweger, was established in 2000.

Going forward, NTT Com will continue to expand its data centers to offer strengthened global seamless ICT solutions that meet the business needs of corporate customers on the European continent, where the demand for data centers continues to grow.
