Old Republic International Q4 Profit Decreases, But Beats Estimates

(RTTNews) - Old Republic International (ORI) released earnings for fourth quarter that decreased from last year but beat the Street estimates.

The company's earnings totaled $105.1 million, or $0.42 per share. This compares with $190.6 million, or $0.69 per share, last year.

Excluding items, Old Republic International reported adjusted earnings of $227.0 million or $0.90 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $0.60 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the period rose 3.1% to $2.002 billion from $1.941 billion last year.
