Owens & Minor Announces 27% Drop In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Owens & Minor (OMI) reported a profit for third quarter that decreased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $24.25 million, or $0.40 per share. This was lower than $33.39 million, or $0.54 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.50 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 3.7% to $2.33 billion. This was down from $2.42 billion last year.
