Parsons Secures $24 Mln Biological Defense Research Contract From NMRC; Stock Down
(RTTNews) - Parsons Corp. (PSN), a digitally enabled solutions provider, on Monday announced that it was awarded a $24 million worth biological defense research contract from the Naval Medical Research Commands or NMRC. The target of the contract is to advance the Commands' mission to defend against biological and chemical warfare.
Shares of Parsons are dropping in the pre-market trading.
The contract consists of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
Under this contract, the company will help quickly detecting infectious diseases important to the Department of Defense and improving global disease surveillance for early detection and response to pathogens.
In the pre-market trading, Parsons is 3.19% higher at $57 on the Nasdaq.
