Peterbilt Installs First PACCAR MX Engine
Peterbilt Motors Company today celebrated a significant and historic milestone with the delivery of the first 2010 EPA certified PACCAR MX engine. A Peterbilt Model 386 equipped with the first production MX engine was delivered to McClymonds Supply & Transit Co. at the Peterbilt Denton, Texas facility. Peterbilt employees, local government officials and the media joined the festivities.

The PACCAR MX is available in Peterbilt Models 587, 388, 386, 384, 367 and 365. The MX engine has a horsepower range of 380hp-485hp and torque outputs up to 1,750 lb-ft with a displacement of 12.9 liters. This power range, combined with excellent fuel efficiency, high reliability, durability, lightweight design and low cost of ownership makes the MX an ideal choice for both over-the-road and vocational applications.
The PACCAR MX has been designed for ease of maintenance, which results in improved efficiency in dealers' service facilities. Peterbilt and all PACCAR dealerships have certified PACCAR MX trained technicians and a complete inventory of service parts in-stock. More than 670 authorized service locations across North America are certified in the latest technologies and diagnostic tools to service and support the PACCAR Engine family.
