PetroQuest Energy Posts Q4 Profit - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - PetroQuest Energy Inc. (PQ) announced that its fourth-quarter net income available to common stockholders was $2.29 million, or $0.04 per share, compared to net loss of $25.45 million or $0.41 per share in the year ago quarter. Net loss for the prior year quarter included ceiling test writedowns totaling $28.11 million.

Oil and gas sales during the fourth quarter of 2013 were $53.17 million, up from $38.15 million in the year ago quarter.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.07 per share and revenues of $54.74 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
