Piedmont Natural Gas FY Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Piedmont Natural Gas (PNY) on Tuesday said its net income for the fiscal year 2014 rose to $143.8 million or $1.84 per share from $134.4 million or $1.78 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were higher at $1.47 billion compared with $1.28 billion in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.90 per share on revenues of $1.44 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the fiscal year 2015, the company continues to expect earnings of $1.82 to $1.92 per share, while analysts expect $1.90 per share.
