Pre-market Movers For May 13 (DHR, PLL, WPZ, WMB, MSFT, DAL, RL, M, EZCH)
(RTTNews) - Gainers:
Danaher Corp. (DHR) is up 4 percent to $89.59 based on its announcement about intention to separate the company into two independent, publicly traded companies. Danaher also agreed to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Pall Corp. (PLL) for $127.20 per share in cash, or a total enterprise value of approximately $13.8 billion, including assumed debt and net of acquired cash. PLL is up 5 percent to $124.60.
Williams Partners L.P. (WPZ) is rising 24 percent to $58.74. Williams (WMB) announced an agreement to acquire all of the public outstanding common units of Williams Partners in an all stock-for-unit transaction at a 1.115 ratio of Williams common shares per unit of Williams Partners. WMB is rising over 6 percent to $53.50.
Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) is up 1 percent to $47.99.
Delta Air Lines, Inc. (DAL) is up. The company announced its plans to return more than $6 billion to shareholders through 2017, by way of a new $5 billion share repurchase program and quarterly dividend that is to be raised by 50 percent to $0.135 per share.
Ralph Lauren Corp. (RL) is up 2 percent to $47.25. The company's adjusted earnings per share and revenues were above Street view. Meanwhile, the company's fourth quarter profit declined from the year-ago quarter. The company also announced its plan to buyback additional $500 million shares of Class A Common Stock.
Decliners:
Macy's, Inc. (M) is down 1 percent to $64.70 as its first quarter profit declined from the year-ago quarter and also missed the consensus estimate. Net sales for the quarter topped Street view by a whisker. The company reiterated its earnings, sales and comparable sales growth guidance for full-year 2015.
EZchip Semiconductor Ltd. (EZCH) is plunging 26 percent to $14.50. The company slipped to a loss in its first quarter on a GAAP basis, but its non-GAAP earnings per share and revenues managed to surpass Street view. The company also announced that a largest customer currently plans to use an in-house solution for the NP-5 successor, that would affect its revenues from sales to that customer.
