Mobimo acquires attractive site in Meggen

Lucerne, 4 September 2025 – Mobimo has acquired a 12,000 m² site in Meggen on Lake Lucerne. The current plans for the project envisage around 70 condominium units on the land plot. With this acquisition, Mobimo is strengthening its development pipeline for the coming years.

The municipality of Meggen, situated just outside the city of Lucerne, is one of the most sought-after residential areas in Central Switzerland. Mobimo sees great potential in the attractive 12,000 m² site. The plot on Neueggweg is practically undeveloped and is in a quiet location in residential zone C. According to the current plans, Mobimo intends to develop a condominium project with around 70 units and a project volume of approximately CHF 120 million. A design plan is mandatory for the development. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2032. The land was acquired from a privately held real estate company, with Mobimo taking ownership on 1 September 2025.

Demand for attractive residential property in central locations remains strong. In addition, Mobimo brings extensive experience in meeting regional needs in the Central Swiss market. This is underscored by the ongoing marketing success of Mobimo’s two Central Swiss projects in Merlischachen (Burgmatt) and Oberägeri (Edenblick). Following the successful completion of the “Grace” condominium project in 2022, Mobimo is now realising its second project in Meggen.
