Progress Appoints Matt Robinson As CTO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Progress Software Corp. (PRGS) announced Wednesday the appointment of Matt Robinson to Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Robinson will report to Phil Pead, CEO, Progress.

Robinson joined Progress in 2013 as a Vice President within the Application Development and Deployment business unit through the acquisition of Rollbase, which he founded and led as CEO.

As new CTO, Robinson will act as the technology visionary and strategist for the company, and will partner with his team to craft and deliver the technological direction for the entire organization, across its three distinct business units.

In addition to setting the agenda for technology direction at Progress, Robinson will oversee the architecture and user experience teams, and work closely with Chief Innovation Officer Vassil Terziev.

He will also act as Progress chief evangelist, serving as a liaison for industry analysts, customers and partners.
