PS4 Pro Debut Nears
(RTTNews) - As Sony Corp. (SNE, SON.L) prepares to launch the new PlayStation 4 Pro gaming console on November 10, several new games that are compatible with the console have also been confirmed for launch.
The PlayStation 4 Pro, which is Sony's dedicated console for 4K gaming, will support higher resolution and more realistic imagery by enabling 4K resolution as well as higher dynamic range or HDR. The console will sell for a retail price of $399.
The console will not only support select games at full native 4K resolution and 60fps frame rates, but will also have the ability to upscale a large majority of non-4K games to UHD resolution.
Game developers are readying to provide PlayStation 4 Pro support for many games on PS4. Some of the games have already been given an upgrade patch for 4K support.
Electronic Arts has confirmed that Titanfall 2 will contain PS4 Pro support on-disc. Other EA games that will get PS4 Pro patches include Battlefield 1, FIFA 17, and Mass Effect: Andromeda.
The list of PS4 Pro compatible games include: Battlefield 1, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Days Gone, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Dishonored 2, Farpoint (PlayStation VR), FIFA 17, Final Fantasy XV, For Honor and Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
It also includes Horizon: Zero Dawn, Infamous: First Light, Killing Floor 2, The Last of Us: Remastered, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Pro Evolution Soccer 2017, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Skyrim: Special Edition, Spider-Man, Steep, Titanfall 2, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Watch Dogs 2.
