PwC Talks: Leaning In, together

NEW YORK, July 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

WHAT:  PwC US Chairman Bob Moritz will be leading the first in a series of PwC Talks conversations – "Leaning In, together" – on July 23 at 11 am PT/2 pm ET live from Facebook studios.

Moritz will interview Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook and author of the best-selling "Lean In – Women, Work, and the Will to Lead," to hear her thoughts and reaction to her book since its publication, and to discuss the role men should play in promoting female leadership in the workplace. Moritz will share PwC's point of view on how companies can -- and must -- lean in, too, which he previously shared on his personal LinkedIn blog.

"Leaders profoundly influence the aspirations of the people who work with them, which is why ambition requires mutual accountability," Moritz says. "Companies have a responsibility to provide opportunities, flexibility, and sponsorship. That's why PwC is leaning in."

PwC offices across the country will be hosting viewing events, followed by several local panel discussions around what it means to lean in. PwC has also invited clients, students and the general public to participate in the discussions around how companies must lean in too, via social media channels and with viewing events taking place at several client sites.

WHEN:  Tuesday July 23, 2013 – 11 am PT/2 pm ET12pm PT/3pm ET
