Quanex Corp Q3 Income Advances 10%

(RTTNews) - Quanex Corp (NX) released a profit for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $9.6 million, or $0.28 per share. This was higher than $8.7 million, or $0.23 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.19 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.0% to $180.21 million. This was up from $169.98 million last year.
