Questar Q2 Profit Tops View

(RTTNews) - Questar Corp. (STR) Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $40.3 million or $0.23 per share, compared to $39.4 million or $0.22 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.22 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues rose to $201.3 million from $195.6 million last year, while four analysts expected revenues of $227.20 million.

For the full-year 2014, Questar continues to expect earnings in the range of $1.18 to $1.28 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $1.27 per share.
