Radian Group Inc Earnings Rise 21% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Radian Group Inc (RDN) revealed a profit for its third quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $139.9 million, or $0.41 per share. This was up from $115.6 million, or $0.31 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.40 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 19.9% to $238.15 million. This was down from $297.29 million last year.
