Rent-A-Center Q3 Profit Declines; Cuts FY13 EPS Outlook - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Rent-A-Center, Inc. (RCII) Monday reported third-quarter net earnings of $27.6 million, or $0.51 per share, compared to $39.9 million, or $0.67 per share in the comparable quarter last year.
On average, 10 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.62 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues were $754.78 million, up from $739.31 million last year, while eight analysts expected revenues of $772.38 million.
Looking ahead, the company projects full-year 2013 earnings in the range of $2.80 to $2.85 per share, down from previous guidance range of $3.03 to $3.15 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $3.09 per share.
The company also targets revenue growth of 1.0 percent. This compares to previous guidance range of 3.0 percent.
