Rent-A-Center Q4 Results Miss Estimates

(RTTNews) - Rent-A-Center, Inc. (RCII) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $25.6 million or $0.48 per share, compared to $13.2 million or $0.25 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the latest quarter was $26.5 million or $0.50 per share.

Total revenue for the fourth quarter rose to $796.53 million from $766.18 million a year ago. Adjusted revenue for the latest quarter was $797.12 million.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.63 per share on revenue of $804.83 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year 2015, the company projects total revenue of $3.250 billion to $3.350 billion dollars and earnings of $2.05 and $2.30, including $0.10 to $0.12 per share dilution related to the company's Mexico operations. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $2.48 per share on revenue of $3.34 billion for the full year 2015.
