Ruby Tuesday Posts Q3 Loss - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Ruby Tuesday, Inc. (RT) Wednesday reported third-quarter loss of $7.31 million or $0.12 per share, compared to a profit of $2.20 million or $0.04 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted loss for the quarter were $0.07 per share. On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.08 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues decreased to $295.6 million from $307.4 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $284.22 million.

Same-restaurant sales decreased 1.9 percent at Company-owned Ruby Tuesday restaurants and decreased 2.2 percent at domestic Ruby Tuesday franchise restaurants compared to last year.

Looking ahead, the company anticipates fourth-quarter same-restaurant sales down 1.0 percent to up 1.0 percent.
