S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

A Share Change in the S&P/TSX Composite Index

TORONTO, Oct. 2, 2017 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Indices Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:  

MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX:MDA) has completed the acquisition of DigitalGlobe, Inc. (NYSE:DGI). To reflect the issuance of common shares as part of the transaction, the relative weight of MacDonald Dettwiler will increase in the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX Completion, the S&P/TSX Composite Dividend and the S&P/TSX Capped Industrials Indices prior to the open of trading on Thursday, October 5, 2017. There will be no change to the relative weight of MacDonald Dettwiler in the S&P/TSX Composite Equal Weight, the S&P/TSX Composite Momentum – Lowest Quintile or the S&P/TSX Equal Weight Industrials Indices.
