S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

A Deletion from the S&P/TSX Preferred Share Index

TORONTO, Sept. 20, 2017 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Indices Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:  

Royal Bank of Canada has announced that it will redeem for $CDN25.00 cash (plus $0.109452 accrued and unpaid dividends) per share all of its outstanding Series AB Preferred Shares (TSX:RY.PR.B) on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. The preference shares will be removed from the S&P/TSX Preferred Share Index and the S&P/TSX North American Preferred Stock Index effective prior to the open of trading on Thursday, September 28, 2017.
