SafeNet's SafeZone Software and Philips Trust v2 DRM Agent Meet Market Need for Flexible Security and Content Protection

    SafeNet (NASDAQ:SFNT) today announced that Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE:PHG, AEX:PHI) selected SafeZone Software to provide the security foundation for Philips Trust v2 DRM Solution. SafeNet and Philips will jointly deliver an integrated solution to the OEM marketplace and share both license and royalty revenue derived from this effort.
    The cooperation between Philips Software, a leading supplier of mobile multimedia and security solutions, and SafeNet, setting the standard for information security, marks an important step forward in providing secure content management solutions that enable mobile device makers to get to market quickly. This partnership combines Philips' strong position in Digital Rights Management (DRM) and SafeNet's proven expertise in security solutions, to create a secure, flexible and interoperable OMA DRM v2 compliant solution which is fully pre-integrated and ensures seamless platform portability.
