Scripps Networks Interactive Q2 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. (SNI) reported that fourth-quarter net income attributable to SNI increased to $131.85 million or $0.96 per share from $108.52 million or $0.73 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Results for the latest quarter include $0.06 per share charge related to operational restructuring, while the year-ago quarter included $0.17 per share write-down of goodwill.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the latest quarter would have been $1.01 per share. On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.97 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Operating revenues for the quarter increased 2.3 percent to $669.15 million from $654.40 million in the same quarter last year. Analysts expected revenue of $683.97 million for the quarter.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2015, the company expects total revenue to increase about 4 percent, while Street is looking for full-year revenue growth of 5.8 percent to $2.84 billion.
