Seagate Unveils New Program to Drive Business Growth With Key, High-Value Americas Channel Partners

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seagate Technology today unveiled a new program designed to spur business growth for its high-value North American system builders by providing dedicated support and exclusive resources that can help these channel partners reduce costs, increase profits and improve their hardware and software delivery infrastructure. The new program, Seagate Premier, focuses on top-performing system builders that are hard-drive volume and strategic category leaders in new growth segments such as surveillance and rugged solutions.

"Success in the channel is key to Seagate's overall market leadership strategy," said John Teeple, director of Americas Marketing at Seagate. "Seagate Premier allows us to focus our efforts in areas of tremendous growth potential for both Seagate and our channel partners. Seagate is pleased to be strengthening our commitment to these partners by offering enhanced tools and benefits that can help our Premier Partners accelerate their business growth and ultimately become more profitable."

Seagate Premier, part of the Seagate Partner Program (SPP), takes aim at helping Seagate's high-performing channel partners thrive in an increasingly competitive industry. SPP Premier membership offers enhanced benefits such as named Seagate account management support, product and solution training, solution seminars, partner matchmaking events, and eligibility to access market development funds. SPP Premier members also receive all the standard SPP benefits including quarterly web seminars and evaluation units, sales incentives and product rebates, and monthly newsletters.

"SPP Premier is a differentiator in the crowded system builder marketplace and a perfect complement to Seagate's application-specific and mainstream hard drives," said Craig Hayes, executive vice president, of Newegg.com. "SPP Premier's enhanced product and solution training and marketing development funds will allow us to better tune products to customers' needs and enable us to identify and reach new customers and markets."

"SPP Premier is a terrific addition to the tools we need to grow with Seagate and our channel business," said Royson Ng, president of Samtack. "Seagate's new product and solutions tools and market development dollars, in particular, will enable Samtack to plan and market more strategically, as well as effectively target new customers."

The Seagate Partner Program is designed to provide system builders and resellers with channel programs and tools to grow market share, increase profits, and accelerate their time to market. The program focuses on providing national, regional and local whitebox and whitebook system builders with the technical expertise and marketing resources needed to deliver Seagate storage to a broader range of customers.
