SiriusXM Q4 Profit Surges, Backs Full Year Revenue Forecast
(RTTNews) - Satellite radio service SiriusXM Holdings Inc. (SIRI) Thursday said fourth-quarter net income climbed to $143 million or $0.03 per share from $65 million or $0.01 per share in the prior year.
On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.02 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenue rose to $1.09 billion from $1 billion reported last year. Analysts expected revenues of $1.08 billion.
SiriusXM recorded 576,689 net new subscribers in the fourth quarter, marking the largest fourth-quarter increase since 2007. Self-pay net subscriber additions were 508,032, compared to 411,484 in the fourth quarter of 2013.
The firm still expects revenues of $4.4 billion for 2015, and net subscriber additions of around 1.2 million. Wall Street looks for full year revenues of $4.48 billion.
