Small Businesses turning to Government Contracts and GSA Schedule to find success in tough economy
WASHINGTON, Aug. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As small businesses continue to struggle in a tough economy, Jason Davis, senior advisor at Capital Finance Group, is leading these businesses to turn to government contracts to increase their profits.
"To date, Capital Finance Group has had about 1,336 GSA Schedule Contracts awarded, and those clients have made in the billions, collectively, using this strategy," said Davis.
Davis explains that without a GSA Schedule contract, small businesses are at a disadvantage. He explains, "We've been helping small businesses of every kind sell to the government for the past 16 years as the rush to government procurement expands."
Capital Finance Group is a boutique GSA and Government Procurement Marketing firm, and among its most popular services is getting small and mid-sized businesses awarded a GSA Schedule.
"Holding a GSA Schedule is the most direct way to lower barriers of entry into the federal marketplace. It provides vendors with the preferred tool that the government wants to use to make purchases. A General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule contract is a quick, efficient buying vehicle," explains Davis. "Vendors who have done business with the government in the past are being urged by government buyers to 'get on a Schedule' to continue to sell to the federal government."
Estimates show that the U.S. government spent over $40 billion in 2012 with companies that were directly contracted with the government through the GSA. With 23 percent of all government expenditures federally mandated to be made with small businesses, becoming a certified vendor for government buyers can prove extremely valuable in increased sales and revenue.
Davis asserts: "Our sole mission is to help small businesses get awarded government work."
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the professionals at Capital Finance Group state that they understand the important role that small businesses play in the overall economy in creating jobs and sustaining communities. They explain that this is the reason they believe their work is so critical—they want to help keep these businesses alive and help they grow so that they can give back to their local communities in jobs and in stimulating their local economies.
By helping these companies with the GSA process and related marketing, qualifying companies can participate in government contracting and benefit from government-mandated spending with small businesses.
Davis provides companies with a team of experts with over 30 years of extensive experience in research, writing and submission of proposals for public (government) and private (corporate and/or non-profit) funding opportunities. Visit www.govmarketexpert.com for more information.
