Somerfield Deploys Major Expansion of Voxware Voice

Voxware, Inc. (NASDAQ: VOXW), a leading supplier of software for voice-driven warehousing operations, announced that Somerfield Stores, the UK high street supermarket company, has deployed a major expansion of voice picking technology based upon the company’s Voxware 3 software product.

"We’ve been Voxware customers for a long time, and took advantage of this project to move to their latest software platform, Voxware 3, which is now integrated with our Infor WMS and gives us the benefits of a packaged software product, openness, and flexibility for the future.”

The new voice solution was first implemented in the fresh products area as a flow-through (pick-by-line) operation, initially at the Somerfield site in Pitreavie, Scotland. Now approaching full deployment, the voice solution will operate in four large distribution centers, optimizing the work of 400 operatives.
