Southwest Offers $59 Flights To Cuba

(RTTNews) - Southwest Airlines Thursday announced its flight schedule for the new non-stop service between Florida and Cuba.

Southwest plans to begin commercial flights between Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport and Varadero, Cuba starting November 13. Service from both FLL and Tampa International Airport is scheduled to commence from December 12, subject to requisite approvals of the Cuban government.

Southwest is offering a special fare of $59 one-way on nonstop flights to and from Cuba, however, a 14-day advance purchase is required.

"Cuba will be the ninth country on our route map and Havana will mark Southwest's 100th city, a significant and proud milestone."
