Sprint Offers To Cover All Costs For Switching Over

(RTTNews) - Sprint Corp. (S) is wooing customers, who are willing to switch their wireless carriers, by launching a new offer in which it will reimburse all costs to join its network.

Under the offer that launched on March 13, Friday, Sprint said it will reimburse all of the switching costs, including early termination fees and remaining payments on the current handset's installment plans.

However, customers need to turn in their current phones in good working condition along with a copy of the bill that shows the early termination fee or phone installment plan balance.

Sprint, the third largest U.S. wireless carrier, said that to take advantage of the offer, customers must bring their number from any other carrier with an early termination fee or phone installment plan balance.

They then need to activate a device on eligible plans such as Sprint Easy Pay, iPhone for Life Plan, Sprint Lease, or pay full retail price with a new line of service.

Further, the customers must complete an online registration and upload a bill that shows the applicable charges for reimbursement, within 60 days of activation. Sprint said that in order to turn in their old mobile devices, it will send customers a prepaid return kit in the mail.

Within 15 days of completing the online registration, Sprint will make reimbursements to the customers for switching costs through an American Express Reward Card.

Tom Roberts, senior vice president-Marketing, Sprint said, "And, now we are making it easy to see what Sprint is all about by paying your costs to switch including early termination fees. We want all U.S. wireless consumers to find out what our 56 million customers already know - Sprint offers the best value in wireless."

In early December 2014, Sprint said it will cut in half the monthly rate plan for customers of Verizon Communications (VZ) and AT&T Inc. (T), who switch to Sprint beginning December 5.

The company said that with the 'Cut Your Bill in Half Event,' it will provide unlimited talk and text to anywhere in the U.S. while on the Sprint network - regardless of a customer's current plan - and match the customer's data allowance for half the cost they are currently paying for their monthly rate plan.
