SSP Appoints Geert Verellen As CFO Succeeding Jonathan Davies

(RTTNews) - SSP Group plc (SSPG.L), an operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations, Thursday announced that it has appointed Geert Verellen as Chief Financial Officer to succeed Jonathan Davies, who is retiring.

Verellen will join the company in early April 2025 as CFO Designate, and will assume the role of CFO and join the Board from June 9.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer and CFO Davies will stay on the Board until September 30, and continue as Deputy CEO until December.

Geert was Chief Financial Officer at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. from 2020 to 2024. Prior to this, he served as Regional CFO at Walmart Inc. overseeing finance operations in Canada, Japan & India.

On the London Stock Exchange, SSP Group shares were trading at 172.80 pence, down 0.58%.
