Steelcase Q2 Profit Shrinks - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Steelcase Inc. (SCS) Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $27.6 million or $0.22 per share, down from $29.5 million or $0.23 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted operating income for the quarter was $55.3 million. On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.26 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues improved 1.7 percent to $757.6 million from $744.9 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $773.33 million.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, Steelcase expects to report earnings in the range of $0.23 to $0.27 per share, with revenues ranging between $755 million and $780 million.
