Steelcase Q3 Profit Shrinks, EPS Flat - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Steelcase Inc. (SCS) Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $23.0 million, down from $23.6 million in the same quarter last year. On a per-share basis, earnings were $0.18, flat with last year.

Adjusted operating income for the quarter was $53.9 million. On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.26 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased to $784.8 million from $727.2 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $766.03 million.

Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the company has forecast earnings in the range of $0.22 to $0.25 per share, with revenues ranging between $760 million and $785 million.

Analysts currently expect fourth-quarter earnings of $0.23 per share on revenues of $763.43 million.
