Stryker Corp. Q3 Income Advances 8%

(RTTNews) - Stryker Corp. (SYK) announced a profit for its third quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $476 million, or $1.25 per share. This was higher than $439 million, or $1.15 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.23 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.3% to $2.42 billion. This was up from $2.39 billion last year.
