Sysco Corp. Announces 10% Increase In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Sysco Corp. (SYY) reported a profit for its third quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $261.36 million, or $0.46 per share. This was higher than $237.62 million, or $0.40 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.42 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 2.1% to $12.00 billion. This was up from $11.75 billion last year.
