Sysco Corp. Reports 10% Gain In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - Sysco Corp. (SYY) reported earnings for its fourth quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $339.55 million, or $0.60 per share. This was up from $309.16 million, or $0.52 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.61 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 10.1% to $13.65 billion. This was up from $12.40 billion last year.
