Tekelec Announces Changes to Executive Team

Adrian Fitzgerald has been appointed VP, North America Sales andGlobal Channels. In addition to his current role overseeing our NorthAmerican direct sales efforts, Adrian will assume responsibility forall of our sales activities through channels and OEM partners. Sincejoining Tekelec in 1997, he has held a number of leadership positionsin Sales and Marketing, including managing Commercial Marketing,Business Development, Marketing Communications and Product Management.

Wolrad Claudy, Managing Director for the EMEA Region since October2003, will also assume responsibility for the emerging regions ofIndia and Asia. In order to provide critical mass for pre-sales andpost-sales support in India and Asia, Tekelec is combining theseefforts with the larger support team in EMEA. Each major customer inthese regions will continue to have dedicated in-country accountteams.

Dave Rice will join Tekelec as Senior Vice President, operationson July 5, 2006 and will be located in the Company's Morrisville, NCheadquarters. Dave has over 20 years of Operations experience in thetelecommunications equipment industry. Dave is presently VicePresident, Global Materials Management at Nortel where he isresponsible for global supply chain planning, fulfillment execution tosupport revenue assurance, delivery performance and inventorymanagement. Previously at Nortel he also served in a number of seniormanagement roles including Vice President, Optical Supply ChainOperations and Plant Manager, Wireless GSM Access.

The Company also announced the resignation of two seniorexecutives who are leaving the company to pursue other interests. LoriCraven, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, andDavid Frankie, Senior Vice President, Operations have resignedeffective June 30, 2006.
