Tekelec to Present ENUM-based Solution Offering Cable Operators End-to-End Delivery of VoIP and Multimedia Services at NXTComm 2008
Tekelec (NASDAQ: TKLC), a leader in core multimedia session control,
will deliver a presentation at NXTComm 2008 in Las Vegas that
demonstrates a more efficient solution for cable operators to route
IP-based services between different multi-service operator (MSO)
networks. The presentation, Tuesday, June 17, will be delivered by Robby
Benedyk, senior product manager for Tekelec’s
TekPath Route Director product – an ENUM
solution.
Benedyk will discuss how Tekelec worked with other infrastructure
providers to simplify IP service routing for operators, ensuring better
quality of service, and reducing OPEX, by focusing on implementing a
more efficient way for cable operators to route calls and multimedia
sessions across MSO networks. The effort and resulting interoperability
agreement is aligned with a new industry specification, the CableLabs
PacketCable ENUM Server Provisioning Specification (ESPP), which Benedyk
co-authored. Please click here

Call Routing in an all IP World.
"As operators look to improve their bottom
line and increase customer loyalty, their networks must evolve to
deliver converged, personalized communications, while maintaining a high
quality of service,” said Benedyk. "With
the ability to route calls and multimedia sessions over an all IP,
SIP-based network, operators cut costs and consumers can benefit from an
improved overall experience.”
Here are details of the presentation:
Venue: NXTploration Theatre
When: Tuesday, June 17th at 3:30 - 4:05 PM
Topic Title: "Successfully Traversing the Khyber Pass - Routing Calls
with TekPath Route Director across MSO networks"
