TELUS To Implement Ericsson's IMS Technology For LTE Services

(RTTNews) - Ericsson (ERIC) Thursday said it has signed a key contract with TELUS (T.TO) for the development and deployment of an IP Multimedia Subsystem, the foundation for communication services over LTE and other accesses.

With Ericsson's IMS technology TELUS can offer advanced, voice, data and video calling sevices over both wireline and wireless networks to customers across Canada.

Ericsson's IMS also allows TELUS to leverage the latest telecommunications developments, equipping the Canadian carrier with the most innovative technology. IMS is a cost-efficient system that will also enable TELUS to generate new revenue streams through Voice over LTE and other services.
