Tenet Healthcare Corp. Reveals 17% Fall In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - Tenet Healthcare Corp. (THC) reported a profit for third quarter that lost ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $30 million, or $0.29 per share. This was lower than $36 million, or $0.36 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.27 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.2% to $4.69 billion. This was up from $4.18 billion last year.
