The Associated General Contractors of California Offers PlanGrid Certification to All Builders In The State
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- PlanGrid, the leader in construction productivity software, has teamed with the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of California, the state's largest construction trade association providing advocacy and services for general contractors and construction related firms, to offer PlanGrid Certification to all of AGC of California's members and the general public. PlanGrid Certification empowers experienced and next generation construction workers to build more efficiently by offering hands-on practice and proficiency of the company's leading mobile software.
For nearly 100 years, AGC has been the voice of California's construction industry. Through the strategic partnership, builders in commercial, heavy civil, and other industries can take advanced, one-day classes in Northern and Southern California to learn how to collaborate easily from their mobile devices and desktop, managing blueprints, specs, photos, RFIs, field reports, and punch lists directly from PlanGrid. According to data from the Associated General Contractors of America, nationwide there are 17% fewer people working in construction than at the market peak. Some states including Arizona, California, Georgia, and Missourisee declines of 20% or more. For construction firms that want to learn how to build more, in less time, PlanGrid Certification enables rapid field adoption and arms employees with the best software available.
Comments on the News:
"The partnership with AGC of California reflects PlanGrid's ongoing commitment to accelerate productivity for the construction industry," said Tracy Young, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, at PlanGrid. "By providing PlanGrid Certification to AGC of California members and the general public, both organizations are equipping current and future skilled workers with the technical skills they need to spend less time on paperwork and more time on building."
"The construction industry is embracing new construction technology because of the benefits it provides builders," said Tom Holsman, Chief Executive Officer, at AGC of California.
