The GEO Group Inc. Q3 Income Advances 9%

(RTTNews) - The GEO Group Inc. (GEO) released a profit for its third quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $66.31 million, or $0.90 per share. This was up from $60.83 million, or $0.84 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.80 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 2.6% to $469.87 million. This was up from $457.90 million last year.
