Time Warner Appoints Dinni Jain As COO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Time Warner Cable Inc. (TWC) Thursday said it named Dinni Jain as chief operating officer, with effect from January 13, 2014. Jain will oversee the operations of the company's three main lines of business, residential services, business services and media sales.

In addition to the role of COO, Jain will take care of the company's technology and network operations, product development and content acquisition functions, and news, local sports and regional sports networks. Jain will report to Robert Marcus, who will become Chairman and Chief Executive Officer on January 1.

Jain served as the President and COO of Insight Communications, which Time Warner Cable acquired in 2012. He joined Insight in 2002 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, before being named EVP and Chief Operating Officer in 2003. He has worked as Group Managing Director for Strategy for NTL Europe, and also held positions at Cellular Communications, Inc., Barclays De Zoete Wedd; and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette.
