TNS, Inc. Names Michael Robinson to Head Telecommunication Services Division
TNS, Inc. (NYSE: TNS), a leading provider of business-critical, cost-effective data communications services for transaction-oriented applications, has named telecommunications industry veteran Michael Robinson, 55, to head its Telecommunication Services Division (TSD). Mr. Robinson joins TNS from Leadergy Catalyst, an executive advisory firm he founded.

Michael will work closely with TNS’ COO Michael Keegan, who is undertaking primary responsibility for this acquisition’s operational integration. Prior to founding Leadergy Catalyst, Mr. Robinson actively built and restructured privately funded early stage companies, including as: CEO of Movida, a wireless telecommunications company focused on the Hispanic U.S. market, CEO of Waxx Inc., an innovative software company holding multiple patents in SaaS generation applications and President & COO of Motricity, Inc., a mobile content delivery company, where he tripled revenue and built an international presence.
Prior to his early stage company development, he also served in the public company market as Senior Vice President of Product Management for Sprint Corporation, where he developed and executed Sprint's 3G vision and was a founding team member of Sprint PCS and led the engineering and operations functions that helped deliver $10 billion in revenue in its first three years. Prior to Sprint, he was COO of Pegaso PCS in Mexico City, leading initial service and network launches and driving revenue of $350 million. Mr. Robinson began his career as Vice President, International Network for Sprint International. He has served on boards of directors and advisory boards for Movida Communications, Waxx Inc., Crosspoint Bank, Mobidia Inc., and Ericsson CDMA User Group.
Separately, TNS announced it has closed its strategic acquisition of the Communications Services Group ("CSG”) from VeriSign, Inc. The acquired CSG assets will be integrated into TSD.
